    MANIFESTA 13 - Soft Power Exhibition - Spring x Gallifet - 2020

    The Gallifet Hotel and Spring - Contemporary Art Agency present Soft Power, an exhibition as part of Parallèles du Sud / Manifesta, bringing together artists Mali Arun, Amandine Guruceaga, Terencio Gonzalez, Shani Ha, and Romain Langlois.

    Soft Power claims the potential for inspiration and transformation of contemporary creation. Representing a new generation that embraces the urgency of our time, these five artists address the major social and environmental issues shaking our societies.

    Spanning nearly 350 square meters of exhibition space and 500 square meters of garden, their plastic and sensitive explorations - encompassing sculpture, painting, photography, video, and installation - offer glimpses of new ways of living together. Their works shift our perceptions, break down barriers, seemingly inviting us to a more symbiotic understanding of the world. From this era of crises and transformations, they bring forth new narratives and create new forms of attention to the Other, to the living, and to that which surrounds us.

    The Soft Power exhibition is part of the programming of the Manifesta Biennale / Parallèles du Sud and the Spring of Contemporary Art.

    MANIFESTA 13 - exposition Soft Power - Spring x Gallifet - 2020

    L’Hôtel de Gallifet et Spring – Agence d’art contemporain présentent Soft Power, une exposition Parallèles du Sud / Manifesta réunissant les artistes Mali Arun, Amandine Guruceaga, Terencio Gonzalez, Shani Ha et Romain Langlois.

    Soft Power revendique le potentiel d’inspiration et de transformation de la création contemporaine. Représentatifs d’une nouvelle génération qui embrasse l’urgence de l’époque, cinq artistes s’emparent des grands questionnements sociaux et environnementaux qui secouent nos sociétés. 

    Sur près de 350M2 d’exposition et 500m2 de jardin, leurs explorations plastiques et sensibles – mêlant sculpture, peinture, photographie, vidéo et installation – laissent entrevoir de nouvelles modalités de vivre-ensemble. Leurs œuvres décentrent nos perceptions, abaissent nos barrières, semblant nous inviter à une compréhension plus symbiotique du monde.De cette époque de crises et de mutations, ils font jaillir de nouveaux récits et créent de nouvelles formes d’attention à ce qui est Autre, au vivant, à ce et ceux qui nous entourent. 

    L’exposition Soft Power est intégrée à la programmation de la Biennale Manifesta/ Les Parallèles du Sud et du Printemps de l’Art Contemporain.
